Slack

I am very lucky to work at Slack. I moved to San Francisco and it was on the top of my list of places to work. A few months later, I got an offer for a contract position and later converted to full time. My work spans brand, web and digital marketing, and collaboration with content design. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time writing at Slack, from periodically being the only writer on the creative team, to leading brand copywriting, to shuffling through a wide variety of work on a newly minted copy team.

WEB

I’ve rewritten the Slack homepage as many times as I can remember, which is roughly six times. Without spilling too much of the secret sauce, an eternal struggle for the Slack homepage (and writers at Slack, in general) is describing what Slack is and what it does.

A recent immersive redesign of the homepage, testing a more direct and guided approach to explaining Slack.

More to come

At the time of this writing (August 2021), I have been at Slack for three years and six months to the day, so there is plenty of additional work to show here. But it is getting late and, through a clerical error, I am legally obligated to obey my bed time.
