Indeed
As the world's #1 job site, Indeed's mission is to help people get jobs. My goal as copywriter was to bring that mission to life with copy that succinctly connected job seekers to jobs and employers to candidates. I served as an internal copy generalist to teams and individuals around the globe, working mostly within marketing and product functions. Work spanned digital, video, and print media, as well as UI updates to Indeed products.

Variety is the spice of life
A laundry list of work crossed my desk at Indeed: integrated social and email campaigns. Outdoor advertising concepts for the London Underground. Push notifications that illustrate value and drive engagement.

Guiding the brand voice
As a member of the brand team, I was a shepherd for the Indeed voice. In addition to applying voice and tone in new materials, I worked with product designers, engineers, and other marketers to give Indeed a consistent identity across experiences.
Deploy, iterate, repeat
Rapid deployment of new products and features were an integral aspect of the Indeed ecosystem. As part of my role, I regularly needed to ramp up and deliver copy based on new material and quick timelines, all to a wide range of stakeholders.

In graduate school for advertising, all the copywriting lessons seemed to center around being flashy all the time. Wringing words for everything they're worth. Writing for Indeed wasn't like that. Indeed was straightforward, smart, and positive. We didn't use serial commas. I learned a lot about the meaning of "less is more." I was never thinking about things I could put in my book. And I don't think my work at Indeed could ever be accurately portrayed in a traditional copywriter's book. Which is how I ended up here, at the bottom of a fifth paragraph.
